All Eyes On Me. Ive centralized this character on and off over the years. I created her from a business card I found by a pool. My friends and I thought up what this person would look like and I got to drawing. Over time this character evolved, and I felt as if this character were someone I had known before. She materialized as i fleshed her out in paint, markers, digital works of art. All of my eyes literally were, and have been, on her. I haven’t created much of any other character, she demanded most of my attention, becoming something of a signature. Whether the main subject, or lost somewhere in the maze like backgrounds I’m evolving my style around, she’s become my partner, a fictional wife of sorts… as if I knew her from another time, and this is her way of incarnating. I keep her alive, as she’s kept alive the passion to have a constant point of inspiration. I picture her here as if she is walking through a gateway into this bold, stylized contemporary universe that melds together where you’d imagine there not being an ending or beginning, yet still a capsule Ted in this boxed frame. Next level, where all seem to exist at once. This here would be an interpretation of a garden ( again). Wild, colorful, aware and alive.
